A young band out of Long Island, Taking Back Sunday is the classic story of an unkown band making it big
Their debut LP, Tell All Your Friends is a combination of subtle visual elements and a strikingly soft color scheme. Having absolutely nothing to work from, ideas were bandied about like popcorn. Soon the idea of the monster 6 panel rollfold came about to give the poignant lyrics breathing room.
The polaroid shots on the inner booklet were designed to give a pictoral glimpse into the personalities of the bandmembers. The overall layout of the text was meant to give a visual sense of the poetic nature of the lyrics.
